Turbo outlet hose

In August I replaced the turbo outlet hose due to a severe leak.  Installed a new hose from FOT.  Tonight the new hose ruptured with a loud pop.  Unable to make any pressure so I had to replace on the side of I-10 just west of Sierra Blanca, Tx.  Not easy to find a place where I could open rear sled. Luckily I purchased an extra to replace the lower hose but never changed it. Noticed what appears to be a date code of June 06 on the new hoses.  Ordering new hoses from Cummins when I get back to Houston. Note the last 2" of the tear are where I cut hose to remove it faster.

Bummer.  This is not good news to me, cuz I think I am still running the original factory installed hoses from 1993. 

Wonder if your BIGGER newer engine runs a lot more boost pressure than our little C8.3...I don't have a boost gauge.

Thinking I might invest in some new (hopefully fresh) hoses from Cummins at the next opportunity.

My boost runs about 31 psi

Think Foretravel should dump that 12 year old stock,and as I posted previously,try siliconehose.com,newer then 12 years.

I still have originals on too and my boost is regularily around 33 due to Banks. Has to be faulty for sure that they sold you.

The gap between the piping factors in too,a one inch gap has more stress than a 1/4 inch gap,every coach is different.
