Anyone know the 1997 U295 at MOT ?

Looking for a used Foretravel.  Have been to MOT once and did look at this coach but not seriously.  After more searching beginning to think this one might work.  Its been for sale at the current price for a long time.  Is anyone familiar with this coach ?  Any reason to not make a lower price offer for it pending inspection ?

I should have added that originally this unit was posted with "unknown" miles and that was a bit of a turn-off for me, now it is being listed at 106K.  Maybe engine hours were used to determine miles or the odometer was fixed ?

Here is a very common step by step:

Negotiate a price (remember, most of the coaches at MOT are on consignment so the salesperson is the just the middleman) SUBJECT TO: inspection and test drive and specify a reasonable time limit to accomplish these.  Obviously, the sooner, the better from seller's perspective.

Then, arrange to see the coach (assuming you have not already done so) and try to reserve someone to inspect it if and only if your visual inspection says" let's go to the next step". You don't want to pay for an inspection if you get there and decide the coach is not for you.

Do an inspection and test drive. If major issued discovered, you may choose to renegotiate the price.

Close on the coach.

Brett;  what would be a fair price one could expect to pay for an inspection?  Is Keith a certified NRVIA inspector?  Anyone else?
Not everyone knows the ins and outs of the Aqua Hot system/ slides, etc.  Inquiring minds would like to know!  Thanks!

Joe,

Keith Risch knows more about Foretravel and it Aqua Hot system them almost anyone else on Earth.  If not Brett Wolfe, then Kieth is more than just fine, for sure.  You will get the straight truth from him, period.

We had both Keith and Brett do inspections on our coach...Keith before purchase and Brett after.  We trust both of them and liked having Keith responsible for fixing what he found before we took delivery and Brett gave us additional things we could focus on after delivery when we got the coach home.

Whatever these inspections cost was worth it to us in peace of mind once we hit the road for multi-month trips now that we're retired.  We've invested as much in mostly mechanical and minor cosmetic updates as we paid for our coach and every penny has been worth it to us.

Thanks Rudy;  I have heard that Keith is great and knows his stuff.  Was wondering if there was an average price for an inspection as well?

1997 U295 for over $100,000, are you mistaken? That is more than double what it is worth... I did not find it on their web site.

There is no doubt that Brett & Keith and i am sure a few others are some of the best out there!  The problem is when searching on the east coast, it seems they are few and far between and nobody wants to travel that far.  Since we are past Foretravel owners, I just would like a second set of eyes on any issues, etc. that I may miss.  Since I have called around, the numbers are all over the board on fees, etc.  So far, I have found no one on this forum that is close to a unit I was looking at.  A few years ago, I flew out with a friend to look and he purchased a coach at MOT.  I actually check out the coach for him, since he had no prior knowledge of any RV.  Luckly, I did a fair job, as he loved the coach and only had a few issues over the years.
