Has anyone had a problems with the leather interior during hat weather. I cannot lay anything on the leather without it sticking. My Dash looks dirty and nothing I have tried will clean it. (It just sticks to the leather if I let it sit over a minute) The dash and chairs and couch have the same white leather.

Bill,
Hope all is well. No luck on the leather front, had a leather guy look at it and said that there was nothing that could be done...............I recovered the two captains chairs and booth, well worth it, coach looks brand new!
Take care.
We had the captains chairs and dash rebuilt and recovered with ulta-leather at the factory...they did a fantastic job. Not cheap and took them about three days. Getting the dash out was something I would not have wanted to do by myself...email me off site if you would like $ numbers.

Jeff,
I take it that you are saying that it would be cheaper to buy new pilot and co-pilot seats at about a $1000 and then buy a dash cover ($70) and do the swap yourself?
If you decide to buy new chairs DO NOT BUY from RV DISCOUNT FURNITURE.COM. We did. The transaction is now in dispute with American Express.
Bill,
I doubt your leather is real leather. It is probably what is called UltraLeather, which is fake leather similiar to a quality vinyl. Your sounds like it is going the same route mine has gone. Cracked and disintergrating and looking like h...! I have picked up seat covers at Camping World for the mean time, but plan on replacing the seats when I find the right deal. Found a person who does recovering, and will do my bench, but does not want to do the pilot/co-pilot chairs. Her reason is expense. She says I can buy covers cheaper from the manufacturer, but I can't.
Anyway, by electronics for the seats are fine, so I am looking for new seats, minus the electronics and mechanical parts.
As to the dash, you can get custom "Dash Board Covers" for about $159. Try this link: www.coversbyjosie.com (http://www.coversbyjosie.com). On the newer coaches, I read that the dash board pieces just pop off. That sounds like the ticket for recovering then, but don't know if our older coaches do that.
Good luck,
Pat
Side note: my quote function would not work when I posted this, but now it is. go figure!
Labor cost for the dash was450.00. It is a bugger getting it out...My DW and I love the ulta-leather and have found no problems in 20K miles and two years...
PatC,
Are you using the Quote icon above?
I tried, but it would not respond. Tried again after I posted and it was okay. And now it is okay. But I have a different keyboard in the laptop.
Hi Bill, Yes!!!!!!, >:( our 1994 U300 has the same problem. If we set anything down on the dash or even sitting in the seat for an extended period of time the materials bond together and some of the surface pulls from the backing material... ::) I plan to replace the two seats and have the dash recovered.......
Hi Bill
If you have used a solvent based cleaner then you have sofend your ultra leather and things will stick
Use only a soap and water and you should not have a problum
