replaced belt on my 10 kw by removing the steel plate on floor of generatorwhich is held by four bolts. Access was still somewhat difficult.

I don't know anything about the 10 KW, but I had to remove the radiator on my 8 KW to do that.  It wasn't too difficult and the rubber mounts for the radiator needed replacing too.  I found the mounts at Grainger.  I replaced the top and bottom hoses for the radiator also.  I didn't have to remove the generator, just pull it forward on the slides.  The exhaust pipe flexes so you can do that.  The electrical grounding strap will only let it move a set distance.

Jerry:
Were the rubber isolators that you got from Grainger the same diameter (quarter sized) as stock or did you elect for a larger (silver dollar) sized isolator?  Both of my bottom ones were broken and the top right one failed and let the fan housing drop down and it trashed the fan.  I used factory replacements from Power Tech but, next time I will try Grainger for larger, more durable units.

Yes, they were the same size, but afterward, I thought maybe I should have bought larger diameter ones.  My fan blade tips were ground off some.  I couldn't find a replacement fan, not even from Power Tech but so far it hasn't overheated.
