Anyone know of a Foretravel that rolled? And what condition it was in when righted?

I don't have anymore information regarding this accident but these photos.
There is certainly quite a story behind this incident. I am so glad the owners made it out okay. That says something about the quality of the Foretravel build.
Barry,
Wow, must have been a whale of a wreck...I see "nothing". How do I see the pictures?

Sure glad no one was seriously injured!!!! :o Does anyone have the details of; the cause, or how, when, where, the accident happened??? Please post info or link... Thanks
I asked the question because two Lazy Daze's are known to have rolled.
In one case I recall the details: The side windows were not broken and after righted the over 6 ft owner could walk through the length of the LD and wanted to drive it away but the tow operator would not allow it. I believe the second case was similar but cannot confirm.
I was hoping a Foretravel would do as well.

Prior to my purchase of my 1993, U225 in 2007, I was researching Foretravels. I ran across an article supposedly written by someone who was an investigator for motorhome crashes. I don't remember with what organization but I deemed his appraisal trustworthy. He said he had investigated 5 Foretravel crashes where the coach rolled. All five coaches were drivable after the crash. In one of the crashes, the coach had rolled 3 times and it was driven away from the crash. After seeing the above photos, I now question this report and am repeating for information only.
I just got off the phone with the occupants of the accident.
This happened in Dec 1999.
They were driving along in Palm Springs area and a 16 year old girl was driving a car and hit their tow vehicle,
which caused the car & motorhome to topple on their side and skid for 400 plus feet and down an embankment.
They rolled over and landed on their roof.
The inside as you can see from the photos was trashed.
The body of the coach held together and they were happy it was a Foretravel
They had their seat belts on and had minor injuries.
She was hanging upside down because of the seat belt.
The girl had no insurance so their insurance covered it & they bought another Foretravel.
They are 88 years old now & sold their coach.
Hi Barry,
I'm trying to figure out how other folks are seeing the pictures of this wreck.. Where are they on the forum and should they show up on the individual emails I receive?

The pics are in Barry's post on the board - images and attachments aren't included in the individual e-mails or the digests because they would overload the bandwidth.
There should be a clickable link to Barry's message (and in this case, this post in the thread) in the e-mail you receive. Contact us by PM or e-mail if the e-mail you receive doesn't include the links.

Thanks for the info. & update Barry, you should be a detective. :))
After a lot of thought and trying to guess how such an accident could develop from a car hitting the toad leaves me wondering.
The only thing I can guess is the old thing about the feather destroying an anvil, or lack of ability to comprehend the situation with the results of complete confusion.
This is not a CDL issue, this is an issue of "not everyone should drive a motor home".
Everyone should honestly and with a clear head evaluate their driving abilities, not everyone is an experienced big road driver.
My opinion

Michelle,
Well, I must be pretty dense. I do see the 'paper clip' by Barry's name in his response on the forum , but clicking on it (right or left mouse buttons) doesn't open it to see any pictures of a roll over. What in the world am missing??

Jim,
Do you see the text in Barry's post but not the images as you scroll down?
The post is

What browser are you using? It could be a compatibility issue that we need to work on.
Michelle
Jim, the photos can only be seen on the Foreforum website and not in the email just like it did when we were using Yahoo.
You had to go to Yahoo website to see any uploaded photos.
The email will give you a link to the photos on foreforum so you can see them there.
Jim - quick thought. When you go to the board to see the post, are you logged in (to the board)? If you just click the link in the e-mail and don't then log in, you won't see images. It's part of the security. You'll still see the first 100+ characters of the post, but not the rest and not any attachments.
Michelle
Michelle,
Ah, logon... I had to go back to the home page to do so. Ugly pictures!
Still learning...
Thank you very much,

Not being in their shoes at the time of the accident, I give them a pass.
