Have a 2002 U320 36'. In the left side center bay there is a "dryer filter" with crystals that I was told should be blue.
A lot have turned pink. It says 20 40 60 on the filter. What is it for and how do I service it????
Thanks ROB
Look at this for instructions.

We find the microwave method works a little better than the oven method (at least when the oven in question is a toaster oven).

Pull the Tab down and rotate the metal cover CCW to remove the metal cover. Inspect the plastic bowl, mine had several cracks at the bottom so I decided to replace it. I think you might be able to get a replacement bowl. I replaced the whole thing $102 from Grainger.
The silica gel looks like the 2nd photo when new.
Wondering if anyone out there can clear my confusion...Is Silica Gel generic and any one will do or is there something technically significant with the replacement SG we can get from FT?
Like many things, if all else is equal, larger quantities at lower prices are easily available over the internet and when I read the info on most of them, they sound just like the crystals in our dryers and can be regenerated the same way..I have regenerated mine many times and they still seem to function ok but have often thought about buying some bulk type gel and carrying a emergency supply if I over cook them again like it did the first time.
