I love my new coach but there are two issues with which I need some help.
1. When I am hooked up to city water, the coach water tank slowly fills even with the fill valve turned off. I presume this is due to a faulty check valve either in the water pump or somewhere else I don't know about. Is there a check valve for the toilet that may be the cause? Where else might I find a check valve in the water line?
2. My old coach was a Hydraulic HWH system. No problems with it but with the new Air HWH system I don't seem to be able to get it exactly level. With the Hydraulic system I was able to adjust each of the four directions manually to perfect the level. With this one it seems as though once it automatically finds it own level, I cannot raise the individual sides with the arrows. Is the HWH Air system automatic only? Shouldn't I be raise one side or the other with the arrow buttons? How much travel does the air system have?
You have 2 choices to level. Automatic or Manual.
When you hit the level button once you can now adjust it manually with the arrow buttons.
When you hit it twice it goes into automatic level.
If it is not leveling properly on automatic you can adjust the sensors.

On my 1997 U295, I press the HWH "On" button one time to enable manual leveling. The previous owner installed a couple of bubble levels near the driver's chair. I use them guide me to a level position as I use the "Arrow" buttons. I think the manual recommends leveling side to side, then front to back. After I touch the button the second time, the system goes to "monitor" mode. It checks for out of level about every 30 minutes, and makes corrections.
The other option is to simply press the "On" button twice, and let the system automatically level the coach. On our coach, the sensor is attached to the floor behind the U-Line ice maker. I pulled the ice maker and tweaked the sensor to give the best leveling. I used bubble levels on the floor and various cabinets to set the coach in what I considered the most level attitude. I then tweaked the sensor while Marilyn watch the yellow "out of level" light on the HWH pad. I tried to set the sensor to mid way between the trigger points for "out of level." A fraction of a turn of the screw driver would make a significant difference.
My understanding is that the air bags can handle up to eight inches of differential between any two corners. The corners would be the locations of the wheels.

I believe the check valve is directly behind the water connection. The check valve and the water inlet are screwed together.

Could it also be the fill valve itself leaking through?

Our 2000 doesn't always get the level just right, but I always let it try in auto mode. After it finishes doing its thing I can fine tune the level if necessary. I do that by having the engine shut down and then turning off the HWH using the OFF button (bottom left on HWH pad) then one touch of the LEVEL button and then finish leveling manually. After I finish I touch the LEVEL once more so that I leave the system back in auto mode. I'm not positive if this last step is necessary, but it has never caused me any problems so I keep doing it.

Beth & I camp in some places where we cannot level. If my trigonometry is right, on my short 34 footer (assuming a 168 inch wheel base), the most I can level is a 3 degree slope. So we carry some leveling planks for such unlevel spots. I do manually level at times when I do not get all corners right. Then I just turn off the HWH system so the pump does not run continuously thinking the air bags need air to level.

and a bubble level or two.
Seriously, if it isn't right, I can feel it and it drives me nuts.
