Title: Receiver Tube Hitch
Post by: ncaabbfan on November 03, 2010, 04:18:24 pm
I am seriously considering obtaining a tow dolly to tow our vehicle behind our coach.  First of all, I will need to get the hitch that fits into the receiver tube mounted on the back of our coach.  Since our U270 coach is in winter storage around 30 miles away, does anyone know the approximate dimension from the ground up to the inside surface of the bottom side of the receiver tube?

It appears most tow dollies specifiy the top of the ball on the hitch be around 15-20 inches above the ground.  I don't know if a hitch that extends straight out of the receiver tube will meet that height or if a hitch that drops down to lower the ball is required.

Thank you very much.

Hi Morris,
Our 1997 U 320 is just about 17" on a level surface. I hope this helps.
