We are in a small COE campground in Wappapello, MO and our neighbor pulls a large fiver with a Freightliner truck. We got to talking and I asked him what size engine he had in the truck. I expected to hear 500 to 600 HP.
He said: "I've got a Cummins M11 350 horsepower engine."
I was hoping he wouldn't ask me the same question because I hate to brag about our Foretravel. But he did. He seemed surprised when I told him 450 ponies. We drove 260 miles today and got 8mpg. He gets 10. I'm happy.
We can tell by the big smile on your face.
My Volvo770 that I pulled my 45" Teton 5TH wheel with was 475 hp and had 1675 ft lbs tq... So I went down a little ,,,but I can't tell the difference...
I had a 10 sp autoshift,,,,and a 3 stage Jake brake,,,but it wasn't as neat as this Retarder..... I love this Foretravel more everyday!!
George S. i was in the boat business a long time . we had the tractor trailer thing to do the hauling . the guy next to you at that camp ground only wishes. he would get 10 MPG . he must have something wrong with his truck , cause everyone else gets 14 to 15 MPG . :)) :)) :))
