Post by: dstrat1 on December 09, 2010, 09:33:32 pm
Well when we put 4 tires on the back last week we found a chewed up pax side rotor...metal to metal and the rotor had to be replaced.......Mot was most helpful geting the part numbers, and the local truck parts had the rotor for about 225  and the pads for about 215.........Called the best local place recommended by PPL and they said well we have to replace both sides, and the calipers, and both rotors...I started to protest, and they said hey the last guy in here paid 6000 for a brake job..litigation etc, we have to be carefull.....Well when I told them i already bought the parts, they almost came unglued, Hyperventilate........well we will have to add 30 percent if you bought you own parts  etc...I hung up...........................went to Strouhal tire, they installed the rotor, and the pads, all works fine, with total cost 340 plus parts....Caveat emptor
