I am new to this site and a wannabe Foretravel owner. I found one on the net owners group no. 15233.
This unit is along way from me ,and thought some one here might know the coach. I don't know if this is the correct place to ask or not if not sorry.
Wannabe,Irwin
Irwin,
where are you located, where is the coach located, could you give us more information about the coach. I'm sure someone will be of help
Jim,I am in Oklahoma and the motorhome is in New Hampshire . It is a 1999 U270,at this time that is all I know.
Nwebe Irwin
This one: 1999 Foretravel U270 36, Motor Home, Motor Home used , Motorhome, Motor Home for (http://www.oldebayrv.com/1999_foretravel_u270_36.htm) That price isn't bad at all. In fact almost way to good! Appears to be at a dealer or on consignment. My directory is out in the coach and it is cold to go out and dig for it. Maybe some has one handier and could email you a name and phone or address. At that low of a price, it looks like some one really wants it gone fast for some unknown reason or it is in a estate.
Irwin,
I think this is the site Old Bay RV (http://www.oldebayrv.com/)
that you seen the coach, if you look down the right side of the ad you will see the coach listed. That coach # 15233 is not currently listed as a Motorclub member.
Good luck
Ok,Barry sent me the owners e-mail .I will contact him.
Thanks to all for your help.
Newbe Irwin
Good luck Irwin, that appears to be a extremely good deal.
Being from up north, be sure to check for bulkhead separation. This needs to be checked on coaches with long-time exposure to road salt: Bulkhead Repair-- A Comprehensive Look REVISED (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=8645.0)
Brett
Thanks Mr Wolfe,
I am familiar with the bulk head attachment issue .I have a friend that has a Foretravel and he told me about it. The motorhome has been put in storage at this time and I cannot go to look at it until a later date. I did find out the owners e-mail address and will talk to him later.
Regards Irwin
Not in my 08 guide, either. You could pick that thing up, put new tires, batteries, carpet (or tile) and re-upholster the couch and still be under 42K.
Irwin,
I probably can be of little help to you, BUT, I'm from NH. However, we are presently in Florida for the winter months.
I thought that I knew most of the NH Foretravels, but I don't recognize this one. We are presently in Orlando for the Holidays with family, and I will look for the 15233 Motorcade number when I get back to our coach in LaBelle. I may have that info if your e-Mail contact doesn't work out.
I wish that we were in NH so that I could help you out. The "Olde Bay" dealership is less than 30 miles from our NH residence and I would thoroughly inspect the coach for you, if we were there (return in May to relieve the Brother who's taking care for our property).
We frequently travel by "Olde Bay" and I do know that that would seem to be a curious way to sell a Foretravel. The dealership appears to deal primarily with autos and a small inventory of bumper pull trailers. Thus, I would be sure to have an in-depth, quality inspection performed before I invested much in travel time or expense.
There ARE a couple of other dealerships in that vicinity that carry Class-A motorhome
consignments and even a very occasional Prevost conversion
consignment. It's pretty curious that a Foretravel would not be at one of those locations instead of 5 miles up the road, where it is. 20 miles further south, there are a couple of Class A Motorhome dealerships, that have (IMHO) rudimentary diesel pusher knowledge.
Anyway, best wishes and feel free to send me private mail, if you think that I can be of any help.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!
Neal
Neal, it looks like owner is from New Dirhim, NH
Thanks, Barry
Irwin,
If we have the correct owner information, New Durham NH is just 9 miles or so up NH Route 11 from the Olde Bay RV Trading Co. So the dealership location appears to be a little more logical.
Maybe the owner is accessing the internet through a neighborhood dealership?
Keep in touch if we can be of further help.
Neal
Barry,Neal,
I did talk to the gentleman at Olde Bay,but he didn't know all the imfomation on the motorhome. I will try the owners e-mail after Christmas and see what happens .
Thanks again for everyones help, I will keep you up to date as we go.
Regards to all and Merry Christmas, Irwin
