We removed two bottom kitchen drawers and worked on our level sensor that is screwed to the floor under the drawers.
First found it was not exactly positioned on a front to back axis. So I remove two screws (beware of springs) and rotated sensor a small amount and put the two screws in new floor holes.
We purchased a four-leg electronic level called RV EzLevel (RV EZ Level (http://www.dyersonline.com/rv-ez-level.html)).
Then used HWH dash panel buttons to manually level the coach with EzLevel on our wood floor in front of sink.
Watching the HWH panel, I adjusted the 3 sensor screws until the HWH panel showed we were level.
Time will tell if we improved our automatic leveling.
I did a similar tweak soon after we acquired our coach. I had to pull the U-Line ice maker to get to the sensor. (Spouse would rather have drawers than the ice maker in that spot.) I am satisfied that leveling is a bit better than it was. It is adequate, but I still usually level manually, then put the unit into automatic mode to maintain. It seldom makes adjustments. If we stay in one spot long enough to move a lot of water around, or if it wakes up and checks while the joey bed is far out, it may adjust. The leveling system seems to hold air very well for long periods of time.
Our style has been to use automatic HWH leveling. Then turn our HWH panel off & keep it off.
Even when staying in the same place, even for a month, we stay level, like JD's coach.
Amazing that our HWH solenoids or air lines don't leak down a little.
When we go off level with Joey Bed extended, because we leave the HWH panel off, the system does not correct. When the Joey Bed is back in HWH don't have to re-correct.
Besides, when main air tanks are depleted, our little HWH air compressor does not have enough capacity to quickly raise a side back up.
Barry, I like your idea. I'm annoyed by our small DC compressor coming on every 15 minutes or so. I've been unable to find a leak. Leveling and then turning off the HWH system will, if nothing else, provide another data point.
By the way, JD, we gave away our working U-line ice maker a long time ago and put a matching wood door on the opening. We just use that space as a catch-all for bulky pantry items, without shelves or drawers. It is now the best place to put things away as the space is deep and large. On the few times we need a lot of ice, a bag from the grocery store fills the bill. Most of the time our U-line was not very useful. Water line to U-line has been closed off under our sink.
