Title: HWH coach leveling and slide out operation
Post by: George Stoltz on January 15, 2011, 09:25:27 pm
How connected are the HWH components that maintain our coaches in a level position and those that operate the slide room and the bladder?  Or are they totally separate?

That's a real good question, George.  As I do not have slides, I can only guess that if the coach is not "level", the HWH "system(s)" would prevent the slide from deploying.  As to the source(s) of compressed air...it's a mystery to me.

Thats a broad statement.
If you mean from the Aux compressor.
There are separate lines going to the slide bladders and the air bags with check valves.
On my coach (photo below) you can see lines (A) (B) (C) go to different things from the compressor.

George, the silver box controls both.

If you mean from the touch panel inside the coach, I recently had a situation in which the leveling system would not respond to pushing the the "Air" pad when parked (breakdown in contacts in touch pad).  However, the slide still functioned - meaning that the system would still deflate the bladder, move the slide, and reinflate the bladder - with assistance from the compressor as needed.
