Title: 2003 U320 seat recovering
Post by: Michelle on February 07, 2011, 11:03:31 pm
We think this might be the year to have the driver and buddy seats redone in our coach.  They're the smooth leather that just doesn't (didn't) age well.  Plus the buddy chair has an odd wobble to it (I was very relieved to find it was the chair and not the coach suspension, listing around turns).

Anyone else with a 2003 had this done (I think these seats are unique to this model year - can you say "barcalounger"  ::))?  Any feedback, suggestions, recommendations?  We're currently thinking of having it done by David Flanagan's crew at FOT.

Michelle,
I had the couch and two chairs in my 1999 U-270 done by FOT in ultraleather (their suggestion). Work was first rate, and I loved the ultra leather, much better than the leather in my 2000 U-320. David's upholstery shop was great!

Michelle,
I was in touch with Jennifer Stallings today on just that subject.  They have a guy in Nac. that does upholstery that is going to make a new front bra for me & maybe (if the price is right) reupholster the front seats.

Here's how to get in touch with Mitch Holland, proprietor...

Michelle,
Mitch does the upholstery work for MOT and his work looks very good.  I received a quote to recover my couch from FOT (around $2200) and Mitch (around $1500).  I'm hoping to wait awhile on the recover as it is just being redone for my wife's cat (she doesn't like to lay on the leather, but loves fabric).

Thanks,

If you know of any good resources for new driver seats, I might be interested.  I would like a smaller, air ride seat, something like what Newell, Liberty and Marathon are using.  Plus I'd like it covered in leather to match our current leather couch.
