Hay out there ! I was wondering if anyone has a easy solution to this problem ? Sense we bought our 96 U320 last June I have worked on many different problems , Elect-Plumbing-Ect. Anyways most of these things are behind those white fiberglass panels. Well over the years of people taking off those panels most all the holes are striped out of that thin aluminium angel behind. Really don't want to drill new holes next to old holes, because that would not look good. Is there any kind of little, somethings to fix it ????????????? I thought of Aluminium welder in a 2 part tube, but it may strip right out.
Thanks Art
Rivnuts, used in aircraft. Made by Goodyear. Any aircraft parts/supply house should have then. But you will also need the tool to seat them.
Bill! Thanks for the quick reply, I am a tool kind of guy, but i'm not sure what that looks like, do you have a Link or a picture.

Or just use a tap and thread the hole to the very next larger diameter thread pattern and use machine screws.

Rivnuts work real well - maybe a bit overkill for a light weight panel. When I installed a new 80 pound inverter to the wall of a basement bulkhead I used rivnuts to go into the bulkheads 2x2 steel tubing. No worries about the screws stripping out of the tube wall. I've found other uses since then when I'm concerned the tube wall might be too thin to hold the screw reliably.
I recommend steel rivnuts.
Seems like I'm always linking to McMaster-Carr but that is where I bought mine: McMaster-Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/117/3269/=bcgtne)
Looks like the tool is around $30
Rick! Thanks for the tip on clipnuts, just finished worked great.
