Title: Keeping the rain gutters clean
Post by: George Stoltz on March 17, 2011, 01:45:36 pm
Whenever I get complacent and think that since I am retired in a motorhome I do not have to do things like cut grass and clean rain gutters I get a rude awakening.  We need to periodically clean pine straw, small leaves and dirt from our rain gutters.

I don't like standing at the edge of the roof and looking downward while sweeping out the small rain gutters.  So I found a way to do this task with my feet on terra firma.  I used duct tape to secure the brush I use to wash our tires to the end of an extension pole.  I can walk around the coach and clean most of the gutters this way.  For the section under the slide out awning, I put my Telesteps extension ladder at each end of the slide out and use the same contraption.  It works wonders.

Watch for me on TV soon selling my new "invention".  Order now and you will get the second one free.  S&H applies.  ;D ;D ;D

At least I do not have to cut grass.

George, I have not met a piece of pine straw or dirt that will stay on when I am going 70mph down the interstate or doing 60 in the rain.....  ;D
