Hi everyone, its been awhile. On my 1990 U300, I have double stainless bumpers front and rear. I have never seen this on any other older foretravel. Was it something special to 1990, or just my coach. Thanks Jeff
What do you mean, "double"? Two in the front and two in the back? I have single stainless steel bumper on my '94 U225. One in front and one in the rear. With a rubber strip in the middle.
I have seen that before on older FTs but I never did figure out the model that happened in. It is pretty cool looking and would seem to offer a bit more rock protection to the front end.
They are "double wide" front and rear with 2 rubber strips per bumper. My 89-U 280 has them.
My 1993 U225 has the stainless bumpers but my 1993 U300 does not. I think the stainless bumper were used up until 1990 on the Grand Villas.
Thanks for the replies. Thought maybe I had something unique.
Personally I like the double stainless bumpers, to me they "fill out" the front and rear of the coach. It is a lot of bumper.
Hi Jeff,
I have seen a few of the double bumper Foretravels. I have always liked the look. I always wanted to know why they were stacked. Was there any special reason?
Likley just for a different look, I can think of nothing funtional wise.
There was a GV at foretravel about two weeks ago that had the double bumper setup. I immediately noticed how much higher the headlights were or appeared to be compared to my single bumper setup. So maybe it was also for increased visibility.
