Title: Warm towels
Post by: George Stoltz on March 27, 2011, 05:20:14 pm
John,
I guess that is a place where our "twins" actually were different.  Our 2000 has the bathroom zone wired completely independently of the bedroom zone.  In fact, the dual zone thermostat can be turned off and I can still turn on the heat in the bathroom.

That is exactly how ours works and the way we use it  when we are dry camping as that zone does not draw much power.
We close the bedroom door to keep just the bedroom warm until the am.

We can do the same thing with ours.  And can turn on just the bathroom heat when showering in cooler weather.  For added luxury we can warm a towel in the Splendide.

Mine is now wired properly.... Oh well who knows why they were different. I like the towel suggestion though.

See why I like the simplicity of separate furnaces and old fashioned thermostats? And you can warm the towels in the microwave if you are a bit delicate.

John

I stole the towel warmer idea from Dave Head.  Dave and I copy each other.  He liked our new Moen kitchen faucet so he went and bought one.  I like being a trend setter. Dave likes being an innovator.

I forgot to add.  I'm not warming my left-over pizza in Kent's microwave.

I like being old fashioned and stodgy. I am a very happy guy.

Give a lazy man a task and he'll always find an easier way...
