One of the vents on the side at the back is loose, how are the put on ? Glued- screwed or what. Any suggestions .
Thanks Art
And what do they vent? I've not been sufficiently adventurous to track down the outlets for all the air that might be captured by those vents.
Bet a quick call to James Stalling will get you an answer.
I to am curious about the side vents. Exactly what is their function?
Those vents are 100 percent decorative.
Side rear vents do not vent anything. They are for style only and are glued on.
Xtreme removed our dummy vents last week, as part of our rear tail lamp upgrade to LEDs.
Here's a photo of a modification on a 280 I was checking out at PPL last year. I think it was a 95. Anyhow, it looked very good but the owner had added a propane injection system along with a custom alcohol radiator cooling system. In examining the repair records that my Canadian friend found under the seat, I saw that the rig had a history of overheating. I suppose the added vents were an attempt to add a little more cooling. Otherwise, it was a nice rig.
