Hey folks,
Thought I would share my recently modified front end and paint job of my 98 U270. The folks at Quality Industrial Refinishers in Portland OR recently completed a front light upgrade and paint work. As my goal was to keep it simple and basically remove the old decals and paint back on a modest strip and replace the front headlights with more modern display I am pleased with the result. My coach is in excellent condition and was worth the money to upgrade. The old lights barely gave off enough light to see at night..the new lights makes a huge difference and looks great. I encourage anyone in the great Northwest to talk with Dan, Tim or Kyle at Quality Industrial. They are great to work with. No surprises. Just good honest people that do everything they can to please the customer.
Hey Chris,
Very nice looking paint job. Did you do anything to the gel coat to make it look so white?
It would be helpful to others if you were to include the cost.
Thanks for sharing.
George,
They just buffed out the gel coat on the sides...that's it. The general condition of the gel coat was excellent. There was a slight shadow from where the decals were which actually made me think of going for a different paint scheme. In the end i opted to simply cover up the old decal area. Keep in mind I had the front and rear caps completely painted as well as the lower bay doors. Add in the painted on graphics, not to mention all the little odds and ends plus the lights and fiberglass work. These guys were thorough and meticulous. The price is on par with what Extreme charges in Texas....the light kit alone was $2500.
Chris,
Good work does not come cheap. You have a great looking coach.
Somewhat related comment from me. You probably would have gotten more responses and a wider readership had you started a new topic. I have not been reading the "front bra" topic at all and just happened to decide to look at your posting to it. I think your posting is really a good and an important one -- especially for those who can't get to Nac for fiberglass/paint work.
Thanks for the information...i just renamed the my post to new paint job. All the best..
And I split off the posts to the new topic :D

Yowza! That's a clean lookin coach. Are your headlights HID? One thing I've wondered about these headlight conversions....is it possible to adjust them or are they fixed in place? Nice looking job, if you ever get to missing those decals you're welcome to come peel the flaking edges from mine.
Chuck
My headlights are fully adjustable, and had Rance at Xtreme move them forward in the hole to provide much improved side lighting, also had the HID conversion installed on the low beams.
Works for me.
