What's backs up the rat fur carpet in our storage bays? I'd like to drill into them to attach a few brackets.
I figured this was a good time to ask first and then drill.
George,
Just behind the carpet is a thin piece of fiberglass ( .035 thick or so) then there is the square steel tubes that make up the wall frame. In between the tubing is sheet insulation. The other side of the tubing is made the same with fiberglass and more carpet. This is how ours is made.
Have at it George, I have attached brackets to hold awning tool, fishing pole, and another item that I will have to show you sometime, in addition I attached loops to another wall to hold air tools and tire chuck etc. Just don't use screws so long you fully penetrate the wall into a tank or something similar.
