Post by: Dan Stansel on April 27, 2011, 06:28:08 pm
I am looking at updating my electronics.  I need a sound system for the front hanging speakers, DVD player, Radio, ampliflier, Blue ray?  Bose?  Can someone tell me the best setup?  Tks Dan Stansel

Dan.... you can see what we did in my post earlier this year...."Out with the Bose, in with the new."  I think the post pretty well summarizes what we did.  The Orb speakers have worked out well, as has the Yamaha receiver.  The receiver just barely fits in our electronics cabinet above the driver's seat, so it is a bit of a pain to hook up.  It does work very well with out Winegard HDTV Direct TV dish; however, we have to run HDMI cables ($$$) to the Samsung LED TV (see post on the upgrade of the TV) to get full high definition.

The subwoofer was a bit of a disappointment.  It is hard to find a place in the coach where it does not cause nearby plywood to vibrate.  We could not put it where the Bose subwoofer was (in the galley cabinet) for that reason.  We now have it just in back of the passenger seat and it seems to be working out OK.

Tks George will look at it.  What I have is the old VHS no dvd or anything of a modern design.
