My 1996 U270 has the ford headlights setup. I've been replacing some bulbs and found that in all three that I've worked on, the little plastic fins in the bulb retainer broke off. The new retainers come in sets of two, and cost about $10 for two, but Ford did not stock them and had to order them, so be forewarned. I think the actual part they ordered was for a 94 pickup.
