I have 05 U320 and under the driver's information center , as soon as the dash curves is a center rocker switch. Can click up and down . But I don't know what it goes too??? Anybody know? Have called FOT and they said it was something the owner added probably, they didn't know. :'(
Can you take a picture & post?
This is the best I could do. Any ideas???
FOT has it right. This switch does not look like something that FOT has as standard equipment. Have you looked through all the previous owner's (PO) notes & records? Electrical diagrams which, if the PO had kindness in his heart, wrote in with notes? That's the only hope you have unless you go follow the wires.
That is definitely aftermarket. Could be for anything.
See if you can follow the wires in back to see the direction. It might give you a clue.
Our '98 U320 has two rocker-switches under the center tilt-up dash piece. The left switch is used if your 'check-engine' light illuminates; you can toggle the switch and count the number of flashes the check-engine light displays in one-minute. This information can help the techs at Foretravel trouble-shoot. The right switch is used to reset your ABS-brake system. Should your ABS light illuminate, you can use the right-hand switch to re-set the ABS computer. You mention only "one" switch, so "results may vary".
I'll bet on a transmission disconnect (Remco) for a towed.
