Title: Changed the Thinlite fixture in engine compartment to LEDs
Post by: George Stoltz on May 11, 2011, 04:57:57 pm
I found a use for the free LED's that I got from the ebay seller who messed up my order.  I installed them in the engine compartment.  Even though the light fixture has an Off/On switch I have decided to leave the light on 24/7 as a deterrent against rodents (I know, here we go again ;D).  Anyone see any problems with this?

George,
This is a good use of the extra lights...the rodents will thank you...now they can see were they're going... ;D

Just kidding, I don't know if rodents can see better with the lights on...

A friend of mine in Tucson keeps a fluorescent light on under the car to keep the pack rats from chewing up the electrical wiring.

Well meaning people might knock on your door at night to tell you you left your light on - over and over.

I had not thought of that.  We'll see.
