Mike,
Look here for a list of your filters

thanks berry. if all goes right today ill fire this thing up
Mike,
I have not found the link provided above to be accurate. Your Detroit engine may have several different filter options. Double or single spin-on or double or single cartridge filters. You may or may not have a slobber tank & drain.
Here are the filters I have on the Detroit 6V-92TA installed in my '94 U300
Engine Oil:
Wix 51970, High efficiency glass media 51970XE, Extended Drain 51970XD
Napa (made by Wix) 1970
AC PF911
Fuel Filter:
The big primary fuel filter (30 micron) is mounted on the chassis, passenger's side. Plastic see-through bottom with water separator & drain sold as kit with filter or separately.
Wix 33442
Napa 3442
Racor S3202
Racor kit with water separator B32002
In a pinch, the Racor S3201 (kit B32001) might be used. Used by Cummins as the secondary filter (10 micron).
Secondary fuel filter mounted on driver's side of the engine (10 micron):
Wix 33120
Wix 33815 (glass media version)
Napa 3120
Allison transmission filter:
Wix: 51623
Napa gold 1623
Baldwin, Hastings, Fleetguard filters also very good, check internet for cross reference. I avoid Fram.
I used NAPA as a reference as they are the easiest to find if you need one in a hurry. Most towns have a NAPA store. Truck stops on highway should also have them

thanks guys ill take these numbers to napa and maybe they can figure out how to cross the numbers over. you know if its not in the computer they are lost. where did the real parts men go
Mike,
Be aware that the numbers Pierce posted above are for a VERY different DD engine-- a two stroke 6V92, not your four stroke V8 8.2 liter.
Brett
Brett,
Mike had posted the request for a 8.2 Detroit or did I miss something?
Pierce & Gaylie
Yup, the 8.2 Detroit is a V-8 not real popular engine, was to be a cheap choice to the better 2 cycle engines. It never turned out to be a desired engine by most users, some got along with it and some could not.
Remember "Not everyone is capable of having good luck with a diesel" for a more clear answer to this, just ask a Ford, Dodge or GM dealer if everyone should have a diesel pickup.
You might be shocked at some of the stupid things some owners do with their bullet proof diesel pickup trucks, you will laugh :o
Pierce,
Perhaps I misread, but, your post says "Here are the filters I have on the Detroit 6V-92TA installed in my '94 U300".
I suspect his 8.2 4 stroke DD V8 engine and your 2 stroke DD engine share very few parts in common. Just completely different motors.
Brett
Brett,
Excuse me. My oversight. I should have looked the 8.2 up. I was not aware of the 4 cycle Detroit Diesel in Foretravels. What are they in?
Thanks,
