Title: Air Guage At Front Air Tanks
Post by: Raymond Jordan on May 28, 2011, 03:35:52 pm
Hi all,
Just between the two air tanks in front of the front axle is this air gauge. On our coach this gauge is reading very low at all times. Between 5 and 10 lbs. The other two air gauges behind the entry steps read much higher, 50 to 60 lbs. Is this lower reading correct? I hope my pictures help.

I had to replace the pressure regulator on my 97 U270 a couple years back.  Per FOT Technical folks, this gauge should be set at 60 psi and is for the HWH air suspension system.

The Front air regulator supplies air from the front brake tank to the front air suspension manifold.
Pressure should be 50-60 lbs.

They put a regulator in the front circuit so that when we go into travel mode, the front end
(which is lighter) doesn't raise faster than the rear and confuse us
into thinking we're ready to travel before the rear is at travel height!

Have you tried turning the adjustment knob to bring it up to 60 psi ?

Hi Barry,
I have not raised the pressure. I will attempt tomorrow.
Thanks,

Is it just a bad gauge? Do your systems work correctly? What is the air pressure too the entry step floor cover and outer air step ? Joe
