6.5 NHMFA26115C -- what is the spec letter? C would be, right?
Is the "fuel filter" (148-0898) the same as the "propane regulator"? Is the propane regulator that I have read about around here a part of the generator or seperate?
She started right up today, but did not want to start this past March.
The propane regulator on a LIQUID LP generator is in/on the generator. On a VAPOR LP generator as it came from Onan, it is external to the generator-- the generator is set up to receive low pressure vapor. The twist is that many of us have converted to high pressure vapor to reduce contamination of the on-generator regulator. In this case, the liquid LP generator is fed high pressure vapor and retains its Onan supplied in/on generator regulator with no changes.
Look at your propane tank. Does the line going to the generator come off the Liquid or Vapor port?
And the filter is different from the regulator.
BTW, my 1993 Liquid LP generator is a 6.5NHMFA26116C as well.

Thought this service manual for that series might give you some ideas how it works
Where can you get a new propane regulator or is it rebuildable? Could not find it on the Onan parts page.
It can be overhauled.
Any propane company that works on propane powered vehicles should be able to get the correct HIGH TEMP gasket set and do the overhaul. Overhaul propane regulator Imco RKJ-2 kit 201017 kit (note: this information is 7 years old-- the last time I had to overhaul the regulator).

Also, if your mechanically inclined, you can carefully take it apart, clean out the oil and crud, reassemble and if done correctly, it will work as new.
Assuming you are reffering to the liquid vaporizer.
If all fails, I can provide the part number for it.

Here is the parts manual for some of the NHM series, covers the spec A thru H
Good luck.
