Title: Seat Belts in My 1999 40ft U320
Post by: Paul Smith on June 09, 2011, 07:25:04 am
I can see ONE seat belt ahead of the Bose bass. Is there a second one? We're thinking of taking two grandsons on a trip on our RV.

How do I get the belts up to the seat? We're not close to our FT now, but as I recall it's not that easy to reach one by hand and getting it in its place on top of the seat is even more problematical.

best, paul

All I had to do was lift/pull the couch seat part way up like you were going to make it into a bed and then reach under to get the seat belts. Then push the belts through the joint between the seat and back. Don't remember if there were three, but there were at least two sets on my '99.

Yes, I pulled out the drawer and pushed them up thru the crack in the sofa. I had two seat belts. Pretty easy to do.

"Pulled out the drawer" Thanks!
That's the word I was looking for: "Easy"

Our 1997 U295 has three belts on the sofa. I recall using a combination of removing the drawer and reaching through openings while the cushions are between "sofa" and "bed" positions. If you are reaching through temporary openings, it is prudent to have a helper to keep from getting trapped or injured. If you get trapped or injured, the helper can call for reinforcements if necessary.
