Title: Two Bargain Foretravels in Oklahoma City
Post by: Kent Speers on June 13, 2011, 08:56:12 am
If anyone is looking for a low priced entry into the Foretravel world, Peggy our official Craig's List watcher, just noticed two Vintage Foretravels for sale in Oklahoma City. One is a 1992, 36' Grand Villa.  It is listed as having a 5.9 Cummins, 190 hp and appeared to have twin beds in the back with a back window. Has anyone ever heard of a front engine diesel Grand Villa? They are asking $14,500.

The second Grand Villa is listed as a Cummins powered 1989, 35 footer (probably a 36') with a newly remodeled interior. They are asking $20,000.

I don't know anything about either of these coaches so if your interested, look them up on Craig's List for Oklahoma City and check them out.

Kent,

Yes, could be real bargains! Probably $10K and $15K would do the trick. Can't imagine a less expensive/nicer way to get from one place to another than the 5.9 and the dbl bumper, tall Uxxx has a nice interior layout with the big (er) compartments. I love my forward fold out table but always thought the two sofas into a bed would be great for families. Probably a U280/36/Cat but just a guess. Layout library might shed light. Photos always hide a certain amount but still. Good eyes!

Kent, that has to be a 32 or 33 ft grandvilla.  I cant remember the correct length, but I have seen some in the past with the front engine.

So what was the chassis? It didn't look like a ORED from the model # but I can't imagine a front engine 5.9 on a U225 chassis.
