Perhaps someone can clear this for me. I have a 1995 U240. However it looks like a U280. My rearview mirrors are mounted on the side rather than the front. Grill does not extend around to the side, but is only across the front like the U280. Brochure I have has pictures of a U320. U240. U280 and a U300. Our coach looks like a U280 with U240 graphics. Pictures I have received from various member show the 95 U240 with the grill extended around to the side.
Does anyone on the forum have a U240 with a U280 body?
TIA.
Jerry, Post a picture of your 240 so we can see what you are talking about.
Here is a photo of my 95 U280.

Here he is.
That looks like the U-240 from Des Moines, Iowa -- that I checked out.
The U280 is an "air-bag suspension" Coach with a much higher profile, and much more basement storage as a result.
It is the one and the same.
Remember, the 1995 U240 is totally unique. It is the first and only year of the wide body U240, though it is still built on the same track axles as the earlier narrow body U240.
You will notice in Casper's photo both the wide body and same (looks narrow) track with the wheels well inboard of the sides of the coach.

That probably explains it Brett. There has to be "others" out there.
For sure, Rick has one: U240 Graphics (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=12980.0)

Rick Zita? His grill wraps around to the side.
No, that is a decal on each side that looks like a grill in the photo. No U240 had a wrap around grill. Your decal has been removed.
Brett
That explains it then.
Thanks.
