We got tired of getting ripped off for $3.50 plus at some stations for propane so decided to do a little research. A couple of big ifs here. If you live where you have a homeowners association (or have a relative that does), find out if they have a special deal for members. We changed providers and had a new tank delivered with the deal company. $1.99 a gallon this year (cheaper last year). They will fill the U300 at the house or in town at the facility at the association rate. But here is the best deal: We went with Ferrellgas, a company that has locations all across the U.S. Here is the location website: Ferrellgas, Your Propane Gas Company - Local Propane Service For Home, Business, (http://www.ferrellgas.com/Locations) You can stop in at any location, use your account number and they just bill you at home at the association price.
Anyone else have another company that does a similar deal? Not pushing this company, just the only one around here with the good price and nationwide locations.
Propane is a rip off nation wide.
I filled in MO at a MFA station last year for 1.69 a gallon. Deal is you have to be there when one of their bulk delivery trucks is there, otherwise you have to go to one of their sub dealers and pay 3 bucks plus.
And they smile as they stick it to you. I think they have learned from the diesel dealers. >:(

I'm feeling better about the $2.95 I paid here in Salem, OR last week. It has been so long, I thought it was high...but apparently not!
I am happy due to the only LP Gas I use is the refrig. The small tank on the 01 320only holds about 12 gal and only needs refilled about once a year, takes about 5 or 6 gal to fill. ;D
Dave,
Who cooks? Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Mortons, TGIF???
Cooks ? Hell, I have a great Microwave and great freezer, can not think of any thing for the gas burner. And Carol never cooks nor travels with me, so the cook top is another feature not needed in my life ;D
