Title: water fill on '02 U320
Post by: Carol Savournin on July 09, 2011, 08:54:44 am
Had water fill valve replaced at MOT last week. Filled tank once. Now cannot fill fresh water OR access city water by having hose hooked up! Help! Is there a separate solenoid besides the water fill valve?

Carol,
Look at your backflow check valve. (It is inside the fitting where you hook up your hose) It could be stuck closed.

Carol,

There should be a resettable breaker for the fill valve.  In our '03 it's one of the breakers on the back wall in the HWH pump/inverter bay (streetside).  Barry B. posted a photo of the breakers in another thread No 12v Power to Magnum Opus Vacuum Toilet?? (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=12737.msg67590#msg67590)

See in the photo the 15 amp W/P Fill Valve?  You might try that one.

Oh, Lord. Now that phone # is there for the world to see. I have left a message for mike and I feel sure he will call. Until then, it is bottled water and cautious flushes! >:( we do not see anything like the photo Barry posted. 3 boxes with lights and fuses behind glass panels in bays, near inverter and 1 bay forward. No labels!

Steve says in our coach, there's a panel with several wing nuts and the breakers are behind the panel.  Ours is next to the Wabco ABS box (sorry for the blurry cellphone photo)

The selected media item is not currently available.
The 3 boxes with lights and fuses behind glass panels are your HWH leveling and slide controllers.

Your valve should also have a manual ability to turn. You can turn it to the fill or to the closed position. that might help you get water this weekend.
Look on the top of the new fill valve on the passenger side and see if you can see a location to put an allen wrench or a screw driver. I can not remember which one it is but you might have to pull off the tray or just use a mirror as I did.

Well, this is unusual. Everything is now working after driving a couple humdred miles.  The tank guage was in the red, water fill would not workon shore water, pump would not work, shore water would not work. Nothing.  Driving with rear camera on, swithed to tanks and water guage showed 1/2 full. Turned on water pump and all is fine.  ????? Sure sounds like something is loose. Will check everything I know when get to destination later this afternoon.

THANKS for all the help, now I know where and what to look for and maybe even fix....
