Title: Crossfire Dual™ Tire Pressure Equalization System
Post by: kenhat on July 12, 2011, 06:11:10 pm
Bill Chaplin mentions the crossfires in another thread New Michelin tires (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=13093.0;topicseen). That post got pretty busy (almost 50 replies) with tires, valves, pressure pros & centramatics so I thought I'd start a new thread for this.

Anyone have experience / opinions on the Crossfire setup? The theory sounds good but they sure are ugly! Function before beauty is my motto though.  ;D

Dual Dynamics (http://www.dualdynamics.com/crossfires/index.shtml)

Would pressure pros or any tire pressure monitoring system work with these?

See ya

Mine came with them already on and they are just fine.  Seem to work as advertised.

My Thoughts, simply - have a flat tire, no  you have two flat tires.  :(
Or maybe I do not understand how it works.

Dave -- from the website

Quote
Crossfire employs a safety feature that automatically isolates the "good" tire in the event of a blowout. When a blowout occurs, the internal safety valve closes immediately with only a slight loss of pressure to the "good" tire.

In slow leak situations, the valve isolates both tires after a pressure drop of approximately 10 P.S.I.

Dwayne -- Thanks!
