Title: Low coolant level - Stop Engine
Post by: Dave Head on July 30, 2011, 08:45:21 pm
After and 'in storage' low coolant level, the alert won't clear. I replaced the sensor and left the power off a bit. So it looks like a trip to Cummins Coach Care is in order.

Does the fault clear when you disconnect the low water sensor ?

Nope - but then there are actually 2 codes. One for low level (235) and one for level circuit (422).

But Kent, look at all the new things you would get to fix and fiddle with....That's ok. You can work on my 02

The alarm cleared (of course) on the way to Cummins today. That was the good news. I've had a recurrent problem lately where the coach won't restart after I shut it down. I will wait a bit, do an air purge and it usually starts right up.
Not this time!
Nicely enough, it did so right in the driveway to Cummins Coach Care! So I said 'fix that too'...
I was encouraged when I asked them to inspect the brakes - they said they would, but they wouldn't repair them as their people aren't certified. I told the service manager I was really happy with that answer!
They will check codes, fix the start issue (I hope I don't have an algae bloom), do the trans service and inspect the brakes.
