Well we did it. We now own a new to us 1989 36' U280 with the Cat 3208. I had this coach checked over and everything is in great shape. We will take the next three months getting to know it before we head south for the winter. I got it home, now need to figure everything out as far as how it all works. I drove it about 45 mile home and it drove very nice. Now i need to find new tires and figure out witch ones to go with will be fun. I have been reading everyones tire ideas on here.
Look out for all the questions i will be asking here.
Thank you,
Dave & Cris
Hi Dave & Cris,
Welcome! You made two wise decisions. Purchasing a Foretravel, and joining this group. You will find this group the most knowledgeable. Best of luck, and many happy miles.
Raymond & Babette
Congratulations! Hope your new purchase gives you miles of smiles...
Congrats on your FT purchase, Dave & Cris. And remember, there is no such thing as a "dumb" question. Ask away!! :P
Best Wishes and Congratulations on your first Foretravel!! They are kinda like tattoos or potato chips, I think ... at least that's the way it is working out for us. We lasted 3 years before we sold our house and went full time. SO much fun!!! We have asked every silly question there is, and are still asking more. Don't EVER be afraid to pipe up. The folks here never lose patience and have all the experience in the world. Welcome!!
Dave & Cris,
Welcome to the Forum family. Congrats on your new to you Foretravel. Any questions about your new mobile condo are welcome, there is a large knowledge base here that is more than willing to help out.
Pamela & Mike
Thank you all. We are looking forward to getting to know this unit before we hit the road this fall. Lots to figure out!
What an awesome product! Even for the age it is awesome..
Thanks again everyone!
Dave & Cris :)
From another new owner, welcome. I have found this forum invaluable in making my choice. As everyone says just ask as you will have a lot of questions!
Keith
Thank you, I'm glade to hear that you are enjoying this new lifestyle. We are so looking forward to it stating this fall. 3 months and counting. We will be fulltiming too. We have planned for this for over three years. Now we are starting in an little older unit than we wanted but house is not selling yet so funds are limited right now and we need to get going. Hope to see some of you out there in the next few years.
Dave
We, too, planned for three years and then went full-time. Feel free to Private Message us directly with any questions you might have that are not related to Foretravel.
Good choice Gravy... Good for you.
Thanks Dub.... So far very impressed with this old girl.. Can't wait to get out on the road!
One of the best feelings in the world! Congratulations!! ;D
Welcome! I don't think you'll ever regret buying a Foretravel.
Don't forget to call Foretravel and let them know you're a new owner - you'll get a free year's membership in the Motorcader Club, and a free year's membership in the FMCA. The Motorcader member number will give you a 10% parts discount with Foretravel.
They're a wonderful group of people to deal with. I emailed them some time back asking for the safe combination on my 1991 U225 - and within a few days they emailed me back with the number. Now that's record keeping. :) The staff is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Just like the good folks here. ;D
Steve
Thanks Steve, I will call them and let them know. We are really loving this coach so far. I loaded up the wife and our three little dogs and took a drive yesterday afternoon. It is the first time my wife road in it. I just love the way it drives and rides. Still have lots of checking over to do before we head out. Want to make sure everything is in tip top shape.
Thank you everyone for all your great coments. Looking forward to fulltiming in our Foretravel. Hopefully meet some of you down the road.
