Title: Air Bags Part #
Post by: Gravy1159 on August 11, 2011, 04:53:36 pm
Anyone know the part numbers for the air bags on my 89 U280 and a good place to buy them? I just checked mine over and they look rough. Not leaking yet but i'm sure soon. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Look at these. We don't get a kickback nor do we work for these people. Hope this helps

You can x-ref with Goodyear and a couple of others. Do a search for earlier posts plus all the part numbers are listed on the site: Foretravel Motorhome technical help and information links (http://www.beamalarm.com/foretravel-links/foretravel-technical-help.html)

As I remember, the best price I found was $137 each but the link to one of the suppliers is on the above site.

Nice to have an extra on board just in case. My rear bags look like someone used them for shotgun target practice but don't leak. They are pretty thick and fairly easy to change depending on the coach model. As I remember, you can make a plug for one line and drive it on the remaining bag to a shady place to change it. Is this where the term "shade tree mechanic" came from?
