I was an early adopter and proponent of this system Truck System Technologies, Inc (http://www.tsttruck.com/Home_Page.html) and I've been very satisfied with it. I had two sensors die last year. I have one that is cracked this year. When I went to the website today to order another pair, I found they offer a new model (507) with replaceable batteries. Even better, the new sensor is 13 grams compared to the old sensor 23 grams. Their current special on 6 sensor systems is as good a deal as I got 5 or 6 years ago...
They are now offering to rebuild the old style sensors for 19.95 each, which is a pretty good deal too.

I haven't tried the new style, but I'm leaning toward it. As far as the system goes it has worked very well. I experienced some dropout of the inside dual sensor during heavy rainstorms - but only for a few minutes.
I installed a 10 sensor system about three months ago and have about 8,000 miles on the system. I love it and have hade no problems at all. I have used it in the cooler environment of Oregon and the 110 degree environment of Texas and it worked flawlessly.
I ordered my system from Plug It Right (http://www.plugitright.com), and had an excellent experience with this company plus a very good price. I received instance responses from my e-mails when I had a question about my order.

I am considering dumping the Doran RV360 I bought in the summer of 2008. Have had, in my opinion, too many sensors fail too quickly and also I am not particularly impressed with Doran's service.
Was considering the Tire Traker system. TireTraker TPMS (http://tiretraker.com/) because it has user replaceable batteries.
The one thing that I don't really like about it is that when you leave in the morning it shows your pressure at the time you stopped the day or days before. They say that should the pressure in a tire drop 15% the sensor will trigger the monitor and alert you. They also told me that if you turn it completely off when done with the monitor and then turn it on it will give you readings within 20 minutes. So, if you think to turn it on 20 minutes before you pull out you should have the current reading.
The Doran gives you accurate readings when you plug in as soon as it finds the sensors which is usually in just a few minutes. How does the TST handle this?

They monitor throughout the night - I've had them alarm in the night if it got real cold out and my minimum alarm set was too high. I've seen in the mornings that it can take up to 10 minutes to report a pressure change after starting out.
I did get an answer back that the 510 and 507 sensors were incompatible with their corresponding 'base' unit. They were offering a 30% off to trade in your old 510 for the new 507. Personally, I like the 5+ year battery life and the 20 buck (plus shipping) replacement deal of the 510. I doing want to have to pull them off annually to replace batteries like you have to do on the 507.
