Title: Hair in gray water tank
Post by: kenhat on August 14, 2011, 12:30:30 pm
I'm a pretty harry guy and losing an increasing amount on a daily basis plus the Mrs has long hair. I've been finding various amounts of hair in the shower drain so I bought a hair catcher to fit in the drain. It's a pain to clean and it slows the water drain.

It occurred to me today that since it all just goes to the gray tank without any tree roots in the way that maybe I don't need to worry about it. What do you guys think? Anyone have any hair tangles in the gray tank that caused problems? What precautions do you take?

see ya

I don't see it as an issue.

There are some optional screen type drains that I have seen in RV store.  Oh, and long hair in drains can be a problem at the stick house when dw's cousin comes to visit.  How I know??  We she is only person I know who has used our tub who has long red hair.  And yes, I did by one of those screen type drains for the tub and it works extremely well.
