I have a 98 4200 and would like to change the clearance lights to LED. They are 4.5x1.75 inches rectangle. I have searched for over 2 hours and am not finding the same light anywhere, even with the standard bulb.
Tried internet search, tried Barry's site, tried a dozed LED light dealers over the net, no luck. The only numbers in the lens are AP2-80 and what appears to be a date on the bottom. Did not want to pull out to look for any ID #'s.
So, I figured someone here has changed them out and may have some #'s for me.
Thanks All,
You have always been there for me.

Mine are 2 x 4 and I bought them on ebay:
16 pack MCL-31 RV Trailer LED Marker Clearance Lights | eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360377476987&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT)
contact seller and ask him.
Yes, those are what I bought for my 90 when I had the full body paint done. But the 98 has different lights. Screw on/low profile lights.
Thanks, but these are different.
Jeff
Post a good picture of one please
John
These are the # that Rance gave me at Xtreme, truck-lite 18050r and 18050y.
FYI AP2-80 sounds like a SAE (old name Society of Automobile Engineers) standard number Full # would be SAE AP2-80 this is not the model number just shows it complies with the standard.
Here is a link to Truck-Lite's catalog they make a lot of the lights around. It has a cross reference to other manufactures.
Dunno if it helps.

Jeff, Go to any large truck parts dealer in your area. They will all kinds of LED's and they will also have paper and online catalogs that you can look thru.

I will try those suggestions. Will also try and get a pic later.
Thanks,
Jeff
Call Truck Parts East in Charlottsville, The old owner was a FT owner and the firm still services a lot of FT repair stuff. If you call you need to make sure the rear lights are the kind that have the angle reflector. The front lights are fine regular but the rear are on the crown and you need to have the angle to be able to be seen.
Truck Parts East - Distributor for Pacbrake and other manufacturers (http://www.truckpartseast.com/)
Number is 800-828-5438
Hope it helps
Are your sure they are only 4.5 inches long ours on 1997 u295 are 6.5 inches long They are made by truck lite, Part Number is 18300Y for amber 18300R for red You get the lens, pigtail, gasket.mounting screws. I purchased them from Ryder fleet. I think they were around 6 bucks each.
John S is correct, Truck Parts East is the place to get the LED lights. I went there, told them I needed the same LED lights that the ex-owner had on his Foretravel, the counter man went in back, returned with a box of exactly what I wanted. Real simple, maybe too simple, eh.
For the side mounted turn signal LED light, I had Xtreme install 4 of them when I had the FBP job. Feel having plenty of turn signal lights are a good idea, eliminates the "I did not see him" issue.
The Truck-Lite catalog list the 18300 as bulb replaceable 4.5 inch, with mounting holes at4.0 inch
I used Grote 47252 (Red) and Grote 47353 (Yellow). Screw holes are 4" center to center. Grote Industries: Product #47252 - Red (http://www.grote.com/product.php?product_number=47252). Found them on Ebay store, Ott's Friction Supply, Portland, Or. $9.00 each and they gave me free shipping on all 10. Ebay item #360107437233 and #360107437845.
But those aren't LEDs. The LED number is Part #: 2673 which matches my Grotes, and 18081R which matches the 18300 from Trucklite. But the Trucklite have a lifetime warranty, which the Grote doesn't. But the Trucklites are pricy. I can get a discount straight from the TruckLite factory, but got the Grote because of the savings.
