I just had a turbo blanket , manifold blanket, and partial exhaust tube blanket installed this afternoon by Advanced Thermal Products (ATP) in Irvine, CA. Tomorrow I go back to have the rest of the exhaust system blanket installed. My complete exhaust system from the turbo all the way to the exhaust tip will now be wrapped; resonator included. :D Actually, the wrap stops just before the opening for the exhaust tip. I'll post pictures tomorrow. I also had ATP put a high temperature blanket around my safe, as the temperature in the safe would regularly be upwards of 190 degrees. Although not as hot as a Bradbury novel, it was nonetheless too hot! I wrapped my turbo and exhaust system on my SOB and the results were absolutely amazing. As high temp blankets are very common in the marine industry, hopefully more RV owners will see the benefits that marine operators have seen for decades.
aspenpilot,
I was looking into getting the ATP kit that included the turbo, manifold, and down pipe blanket for my Cummins C8.3 but the person at ATP didn't know exactly which part numbers were the correct ones. He mentioned that all of their parts have a plate with the part number on it and I was wondering if you could post up which parts you had bought from them.
How have the ATP blankets held up and would you do it again?
