Looks to be about 47 coaches here in Durant for the MidSouth. Golf yesterday and OYO meal last night. Today is the first day. DAN
Sounds like it's going to be a fun rally - take photos!
I need to do a better job planning our trips next year... would have enjoyed that one.

Sure wish we could be there. Is it raining in Durant yet?
By the way for those non-Okies its pronounced DooRant!!!
No rain in Doo-rant so far. About 70 with cloud cover, little windy but nice.
I am parked next to Jimmy Freytag. Will try to get some pictures. DAN
Ask Jimmy if he was in New Castle, OK yesterday? I saw a coach coming through town that looked like his coach.
You should use caution trying to identify Freytag. We were at Lake Murray and saw another FT in the Elephant Rock campground. I looked up the Motorcade number and identified Freytag as the owner. I sent PM, to which he replied, "That must be the coach we sold." He may still have a decoy. ;)
We've stopped in Ardmore a few times with the FT, but still haven't met Freytag. We've stopped in Norman a few times and haven't yet met Speers or Morris and Jan.
We stopped in Doo-Rant one time and met some folk there for a rally, but they weren't active on the forum. We just happened to be passing through. The facility was very new and it looked like they had a nice gathering room.
Kent, it wasn't me. We left Ardmore yesterday morning and drove over. At noon today we got rain, drops about 6 inches apart for 2 or 3 seconds.
Hope the back pain isn't to great going thru rehab.
Keep a lookout for a 36 foot U280 or U300 with 94, 95 or 96 blue green decals pulling a white towed, maybe a CRV. That's as good a look as I got of it heading south on Hiway 62 southbound at about 9:00 AM.
I sure wish we could be with you all. I'm sure the company and scenery there is better than watching TV and going to therapy.
Lots of people here who seem to know everyone else. As a first timer appears to be a great bunch of people. Some played golf again today. Great dinner tonight and entertainment. Amazing to see all the Foretravel coaches here. Lots of older coaches with upgrades so it is really hard to know what year they are. Appears Extreme and Foretravel paint has been busy. Have not talked to anyone who does not love their Foretravel. DAN
There is a vendor here washing and waxing coaches and cars. They did some chrome wheels and they looked like new. Asked the owner of the coach what they used.
They used a buffer and a product called "Jewelers Rouge". This appears to be a stick dry product. Some of you may have used it, but this is the first time I have seen the product.
DAN
I would be
very reluctant to use that product (it's a mild abrasive, IIRC) on an Alcoa rim that has the Durabrite finish. The Jewelers Rouge I'm familiar with is for bare metal only.

A popular product for polishing bare aluminum wheels is Simichrome polish. It is also a mild abrasive that should not be used on Durabrite wheels. You might want to review Wheel Polish (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=13161.msg72296#msg72296).
It looks like the weather is mighty fine in Durant. Enjoy!
Sorry that we are not going to make it to Durant Rally. My father fell and broke his hip. He had surgery and is going to rehab now the fun begins!!!!
Got home from the Mid South. Had a great time and met a lot of Foretravel owners.
Lyle Reed was there and got to see the new IH-45. What a great Foretravel. Great food, entertainment and meeting new friends. Hope to see more of you at the next one which is I think is April 26, 2012 in Montgomery, Texas. There is a vote coming up that would allow friends to come as guest to the chapter rally. This would allow more people to be at the rally. It would be voted on again chapter by chapter to allow at rally by rally. Not sure I got all the info on that. You might ask Beverly for more info. DAN
