I would like to know if any one has had there jackknife sofa redone at FOT or MOT and the approx. cost.
Thanks Bill
Bill, the previous owner of our coach had the J couch reupholstered at FOT in 2009. I was part of a complete interior remodel so I don't have the amount for just the couch but it is truly beautiful. I looks better than many of the originals if have seen. They used the butter soft, breathable leather look vinyl that most everyone thinks is Corinthian leather. We couldn't be happier.
From what I've seen, David Flannigan and his staff at FOT are hard to beat for quality work.
We had ours done earlier this year. Ours had a J-section that we didn't like so had it removed and replaced with a 4 drawer cabinet. The couch had been redone a couple of times by adding padding on top of the existing and then new fabric. It bulged up about 3 inches above normal. David looked at it and said what happened there? :)
The couch had to be stripped to the metal and completely redone. We choose the cream colored ultra-leather. It was about $1,800. The 4 drawer cabinet was another $1,500 IIRC. David & crew did an awesome job. My wife and I both think it was money well spent.

We had ours done by David and the FT upholstery shop in 2009. Around $1850 for all new foam, salsa red ultraleather Brisa with the arm inserts piped in licorice ultraleather Brisa (Brisa is the breathable ultraleather).
If it's bigger than something we can do ourselves, David and his team are the only ones we would allow to do any interior work in our coach.

I have everything done at MOT, except paint (Xtreme) and upholstery/interior mods. (David Flanigan, FOT) FOT did my sofa and two dining chairs in ultraleather five years ago. Amazing work, was approx $1,300 at the time. Call David for a quote,

I too would say go to David... he is gifted and they do great work.
Thank's we are still in the planing stage.
We had the jackknife sofa in our '93 reupholstered at FOT when we redid the inside. I chose fabric over the Ultraleather because I liked it better for lounging. They had loads to choose from (or they will tell you how much to buy and you can choose your own and take it to them. I was really interested to watch the folks in the upholstery shop do their thing. New foam and beautiful piping. I am not sure of the price ... all the invoices went in the binders to the new owner. But I can speak to the quality of the work!
