Need to service my generator and for the first time I would like to slide it out and check all around it for any wear and tear on it and its surroundings plus doing the regular service required.
It's on a 2001 U320, Kubota 10K, mounted in front.
John, Usually on the bus types ( not GV's ) there is a latch handle in the forward most left compartment, you pull the handle, front bay opens, then you remove two 1/2 inch bolts at either side of the slide and pull genny out.

Your setup is probably similar to mine. You remove the two bolts (either side bottom, see below) from the front. Then disconnect the muffler. This was a real job for me since the bolts were rusted tight. But I eventually got them off. When that is done, the generator slides out in its frame.
WHen I had mine worked on, they used a fork lift to lift and pull it out. I cannot imagine doing it by hand.
Thanks guys, I kinda thought those 1/2" bolts were what was holding the genny. I've looked around for wheels or something that the genny would glide out on but did not see a thing. It is hard to see the immediate area surrounding the genny. I just hope I don't have a problem like Tom had. If it's stuck that bad I and can still service it in place.
Wish me luck.
