I thought I saw a post about what to check before taking a trip but for the life of me I can't find it. Am I wrong or just blind? Thanks in advance!
Some suggestions are on this list

Barry,
Outstanding check list. Good to print and have co-pilot read items off to you. How many RVs have you seen with the TV antenna still up?
One more thing I always have with me is a can of non-diet Coke. I have always kept one behind my seat while flying. When starting my decent after a long flight, I open it and by the time I am in the control zone/traffic pattern, I am awake and as sharp as I can be. Same can be said for an RV in the last few miles into a destination especially if in heavy traffic and or a strange place to you. A tired driver is much more likely to make a mistake.
Barry, once again, you have had the answers to my questions. Thank you so much. Great information!
Regarding the antenna being left up. When we purchased our coach it had a green strap to hang on steering wheel when the antenna is raised. It lives on the antenna handle when down. Kinda like the "remove before flight" markers that aircraft use.
We inherited the DVD of the movie "RV" with the coach. One of the mechanics at FOT, on learning that it's my first coach, advised me that it's not an instructional movie. If you haven't seen it it's good for a how not to do it movie. Not Oscar material but good for a rainy evening.

I told Carol that was not an instructional video but she wouldn't listen... ::) :o :)) :-*
The seat belt scene in that movie is spot-on, though. Who designed those cranky retractors?

Seatbelt Retractprs, >:( Ugh!
i Had to stop at the first Lowes I came across, purchased a heavy duty mini spring clamp, so I when put on the seat belt, then pull a little extra from the retractor, and put clamp so it can not retract, I now can travel in comfy, vs being choked all the time.. No Fun.
You gotta do what works, it works for me.
Aaarrrgghhhhhh! We've owned Moose for 3 and 1/2 years and struggled with those dang belts everytime we drove and NOW I learn of Dave's excellent suggestion. Life ain't fair:).
George, I have suffered through many miles before that trick became obvious. Now I do the same on the Ford p/u that I tow, like when I had to drive it from Nac to home in Va and back, Fords upper seat belt just wants to keep choking you, like an anaconda snake, never lets up, just gets tighter.
I normally drive about 60-70 K miles per for the past 40+ years, with that amount of windshield time, some things just come to you.
Why I am burnt out with the business, I want out.
If you use a smart phone (android for sure) consider entering your check list in an app called Check List Lite. It reads the list to you item by item. Very nice! Thanks to an earlier post from JD I think.
