2003 Foretravel, U-270, problem is ceiling-mounted cooling fan in the HWH/Utility/Prosine/Equipment Bay, middle compartment, Driver's side.

Original control is/was a button-type thermostat switch.  Current replacement is a Columbus Electric Line Voltage Thermostat (Heating/Cooling), Part #2E158B.  My source was Grainger, and Foretravel Parts confirmed the part number.

The wiring instructions that came with the switch show only 2 connections:  SPST, "Heating or Cooling". 

There are three connections in the switch, and therefore two different ways to make the connections;  one connector is labeled "Normally Open", and the other is labeled "Normally Closed".

Has anybody done this swap-out, and if so, how did you connect/wire the switch?

I would think you would use the N/O side. When the temperature comes up to what you set it for the relay switches and completes the connection and fan comes on.
After you hook it up turn the temp dial to a lower temperature and the fan should come on.
Turn it to a higher temperature and the fan should go off if it is wired correctly.
If it works in reverse, than change the wire to N/C

I have not made the change, but plan to add a fan to my compartment in a future upgrade.  You will need to wire for normally open so the circuit closes when the set temperature is reached.  This will allow the fan to come on and cool the compartment.
