Title: HWH Foretravel air bag problem
Post by: sissy on October 07, 2011, 05:37:17 pm
Ok here's the deal - when you first start up the engine - the right front air bag goes to maximum height and you have to keep letting air out manually for about 10 times before it finally levels out so you can travel - any suggestions?

Sissy,

Please, anytime you are asking a technical question, let us know what year and model you have.  Better yet, modify your signature to include what coach you have.

That way we can more accurately answer your question.

And is this only the front or does the rear do the same thing.  Most air coaches have ONE air valve (ride height valve) in front and two in back.  So most of the side to side is controlled by the back valves.

Sissy, Does your U300 have the automatic leveling HWH or the manual with the levers on floor ?

Our coach is a 1993 300 unihome special edition - automatic and manual level system - happens only to the right front

Sissy,
I have had a similar problem recently. On my coach it was the left front. I believe I have fixed the problem. I will know for sure when we travel in a week. I found a travel solenoid that was leaking where it joins together. I think it was causing the one air bag to go to the correct height when going into the travel mode but the other was lagging behind due to the leak. I don't know if that helps because you most likely have a different setup than my 99.
