Went over to Rally Park yesterday to visit some friends who were staying there. My buddy said there was a used Foretravel in the used lot right next to Rally Park. Walked over, and it was a 96 U295 36'. Red graphics. Had a "sold" sign on it. The graphics were in rough shape. Looked like it had been outside for some time. Looked kind of like one I've seen at an RV community over in Polk City, Fl. Belong to anyone here?
Steve, there was another 96 that had the strips removed and repainted to look like a 2001, it was also a 295, it sold about a week ago.
Last Feb. I purchased my '98 U295, 36' that had badly weathered red graphics. It was in "Mount Olive Shores", the old "Foretravel shores" here in Polk City.
I removed the decals and had it repainted close to the original design. I am kind of a traditionalist in that I wanted to keep it close to original. I had some help from Gary O. (MC#13001) with the reconditioning and Warren McKenzie (MC#4335) with the purchase from the estate of Joe Revak. It was in a lot near Dick and Fieda Ward (MC#14393) for about 5 1/2 years, unused and unmoved.
It might have been the one you saw.
That was the one I was thinking of, but this one is definitely a 96.
Steve, there were 2 96 295's at LD, one with the original red graphic's and one that had the 2001 painted graphic's.
The people from MOT were here to look at them and passed.
Yeah, Bill. I had no idea about mileage or condition other than just superficial stuff.
Their site only shows one available (the '96 U295) and sale is pending. Motorcade #14530. 1996 Foretravel U295 - Sale Pending (http://www.lazydays.com/RVs/Inventory/Foretravel/U295/U126005)
wonder what they got for it?
Think they were asking $46K. IF it is the same one.
