Today the door doesn't want to release without major effort. The latch on the door is fine. I can depress it and close/open it without it catching while depressed. But when I let go of it or close the door it catches and won't let go.
At least once when I yanked it open it kept dring, so I'm wondering if the lock assembly inside is 'staying locked'.
I have to remove to repair?

Try one of the Splendide manuals in the files library (most likely the "Train Man" or Parts).

Looks pretty certain to be a bad door interlock switch. It stays 'locked' which allows everything to work but makes you fight with the door...
Appears Westland Sales in OR is the only place to get parts...
