Does anyone have info on replacing the door gaskets on this fridge? Fridge is on our 2000 u320 and its time to replace both. Am not getting help in Kerrville, Tx. service people, complaining that It's hard to replace. Would appreciate your thoughts on this and where in area to replace without going to MOT.

Barry,
Thanks so much for your input. Did you install yourself?
So far I have not had this problem and have never replaced mine. 8)
I've replaced by freezer gasket. My refrigerator gasket is still fine. These aren't direct replacements. They come with good instructions. You trim off the old gasket with a utility knife, clean up the surface with a razor blade, then stick the new gasket down. The keys to the job are to make the door surface as clean and smooth as you can, and position the new gasket precisely. Once you peel the paper off the adhesive on the new gasket, you only have one chance, so it had better be right. Two people help, working with the door on a horizontal work surface at waist height. Let me know if you need more help.
tuscanvilla,
we had a 2000 U320 and it developed a problem with the fridge gasket. You can spend $232 for a replacement gasket or you can go to Wall-Mart and buy two packs of white D-ring shaped gasket material made by Duck Tape. It has the same peel-off paper and sticky surface underneath. The size of the $6 material from WallMart is very similar to the original. Dometic rips you off because they can.
so your choice is $12 vs. $232.Also. before you install any new gasket, clean the surface with Isopropyl alcohol.
